About Funny Games disamb page
[edit]Right now we have a disamb page called Funny Games with two options. The original 1997 film and the 2008 remake. I propose that we convert the disamb page to a redirect to the original film and then add a :for to the remake. This will save clicks for many users. I know that there is not a general rule for these cases but see for example that Psycho (film) redirects to the original 1966 film and Earth vs. the Spider is not a disamb page. -- Magioladitis (talk) 13:07, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Really? Because the disambiguation page can go directly to the 2008 version (2 Clicks), whereas if searching "Funny Games" takes you straight to the 1997 version, and then you click to go to the remake, which would also be two clicks. How many clicks are saved there, bucko? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.26.112.5 (talk) 14:27, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
So with now: You need 2 clicks for each film. With my suggestion you need 2 clicks for the remake and 1 click for the original. One click less. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:38, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- IMO, it's fine as it is now. Unless one version was universally more well known than the other, then I don't see the point in changing the disambig page to a redirect. Maybe in time, the remake will become more well known (certainly to the American auidence). Lugnuts (talk) 15:46, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Themes
[edit]The themes section reads like a critique or an essay on the film, rather than a description of events in the film. I don't know what other people feel - is this original research, or is it acceptable?Totorotroll (talk) 11:44, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
OT
[edit]Anyone else think this movie should be entitled "How to have every opportunity to live and still freakin die"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.129.73.10 (talk) 03:40, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Now that's the definition of life right there.63.229.84.19 (talk) 06:10, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
official site
[edit]the article states that there's a short essay by the director on media and violence and since that's the justification for making the film it's rather pertinent. However it says to look on the official site of the US remake. Can't find it. does anyone know the official site of the US remake? ramdomwolf 198.96.34.35 (talk) 17:03, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
- It used to be here, I think. In any case, Haneke is not the only one who wrote about the film. There are quite a few writeups about this film and the remake, so don't limit yourself to just this essay. :) Erik (talk | contribs) 19:19, 16 April 2010 (UTC)

Total box currency
[edit]Why is the box office total takings in Australian dollars? There's no cite so I'm not sure if it's correct Xt828 (talk) 11:25, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
- Well spotted. It was added nearly 7 years ago. As it's unsourced, I've removed it. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:33, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
